Silver Spring Town Center Starts Now
OK Springsters. We have been waiting for a Town Center, a civic building and a public plaza, for— how long has it been? Eight, ten, twelve years. If you are tired of waiting then stop waiting.
Here is a paradigm shift: The town center starts now, right here. A social networking site where people hold conversations, pontificate from soap boxes, and present visions for the future.
Sure this is just virtual. Nothing like a real town center. But every project is created twice: once in the mind of the author and then once in reality. If we don't create this first in our community consciousness then it will be created for us by someone else and we will just have to live with it.
Use this space to show your neighbors what a Silver Spring Town Center could be. Write a blog entry. Start a conversation in the forum. Upload a photo or a PDF document.
Start acting like the Town Center belongs to us now and in a few years it really will.
